The last of the VIP's have arrived!

Look who has dropped from the sky............Amy & Evan!  Everyone is coming to the Bahamas this year to get away from the cold and rain.

Amy & Evan are old salts on board Nati and we had lots of fun having them on board for a week.  The weather was great all week and Nati even got a nice shower during one of evening storms that blew through at night.  It didn't slow us down all all.

swimming pool #1 completed

After a nice first night at Harbour View Marina, complete with "pool time" we pulled away from the dock and headed to Tahiti Beach for some fun.  We met up with Flight Plan at the anchorage so we hung out with Janna and Vinny for a couple of days.  The beach on this part of Elbow Cay is perfect for Evan and we even got a little bit of shelling in during low tide.

Ok, what is going on here?

building sand forts is hard work!

From there we took a mighty 3 mile jog north up to Hope Town.  Evan had to see the "Cat-in-the-hat" lighthouse.  Now both Teagan & Evan have climbed the 101 steps up to the top!  In addition to the lighthouse we hung around the settlements playground for the Evan and he seemed to be right at home.

101 steps up.....come on Mom!

perfect size for this door!

Oh yes....less we forget about the "moose".  It may look like a reindeer but everyone knows the Bahamas do not have any deer so it must be a moose!  Evan knows best and he liked carrying around town showing it off!
"Wide load here"!

Goes uphill with no problem

Like most moose it is all terrain capable!

One nice thing about Hope Town now is that the Hope Town Inn & Marina has a beautiful pool and they are just fine with letting the folks on moorings recreate on the grounds.  If you buy some food, a couple of drinks you can hang around the pool all day.  Perfect for a 2 1/2 year old boy!  Thanks much!!

See, moose can in fact swim

Since weather is always a factor in what we do around here we decided to stay in Hope Town a few days and one cloudy day we rented a golf cart and toured the island.  Lots of fun.  Saw places we never knew existed, found a nice beach restaurant and guess what??  Yes, more beaches and sand!!

Lets go surfing!

"We love beaches!"

All vehicles put surfers to sleep

The sun is out and it's time to go.......so we head to Great Guana.  Rumor has it that there are more pools and beaches for Evan and Amy so off we go.  The turtle pool is working great again and we make the harbour in just a couple of hours.

Where is room service?  We're thirsty!

Nippers.......check did it!

Grabbers......check that too!!  One thing we have learned is that Grabbers has the perfect little guy location.  All one level, pool is clean and the views are just fabulous.
E-man always has the best seat in the house!

Our own pool!

Sadly the week came to an end much to quickly.  We had lots of laughs and we even got a chance to be hunter/gatherers for a day.  Vinny and I were able to find 11 conchs and Anne made up some great conch fritters.  Too bad we ate the fritters and cracked conch before any pictures were taken of the fare.

Yes, he likes the life jacket!

Vacation is hard work you know

Hunter/gathering!

Our happy campers

Bye Evan.......the turtle pool awaits your return!!

Hey, that's our Dingh-go!
